  • Manage internal hardware inventory
  • Load appropriate software packages such as operating systems, basic software, networking components and office applications on Windows, MAC and Unix machines
  • Assist in the customization and adaptation of existing programs to meet users’ requirements
  • Provide telephone, in-person and online support to end-users
  • Provide basic troubleshooting skills on the day to day issues that arise on a local area network
  • Coordinate activities with network services and information systems groups
  • Provide updates, status and completion information to manager and/or users, via voice mail, e-mail or in-person communication
  • Refer major hardware problems to service personnel for correction
  • Connect users to networks and provides initial training in facilities and applications
  • Administer e-mail and anti-virus systems
  • Rotate daily back-up media
  • Update and keep track of IT assets and asset assignments
  • Configure and maintain IP Phones and wireless access points
  • Assist in research and procurement of computer accessories and supplies
  • Take ownership of any problems that arise and ensure end customer satisfaction with resolution of issues
  • 1 year relevant work experience
  • Excellent network configuration and troubleshooting skills, particularly wireless
  • Experience with Windows automated provisioning
  • Experience with desktop firewalls and security
  • Experience with desktop virus detection and prevention
  • Experience with Windows domain services
  • Experience with basic server and workstation hardware troubleshooting
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work one on one with employees and external customers
  • Can do attitude and ability to take ownership and drive results
  • Ability to make informal presentations
  • Some Linux skills preferred
