Minimum 5 years of experience developing products in any of the following product industries – Automotive aftermarket parts, Tools and Home appliances
Preferred understanding of the retail industry and product planning in retail communicated via experience working for a retailer or developing products keeping in mind the retail channel
Familiarity with 3D modeling tools such as Solidworks and design tools such as Adobe CS etc

With guidance from senior PD you will review products at every stage of lifecycle (concept to on shelf) & provide feedback and direction to the business
Identify and develop key product attributes and ensure it is executed in the final approved product as per scope brief/strategy agreement
Specify raw materials as required (develop proprietary ingredients as needed)
Brings products to group with all appropriate background info: product strategy, key offs and brief etc
With a Quality Assurance Specialist or Sr. PD attend plant trials and first productions
Liaise with all members of team to ensure all aspects of business needs are addressed: QA, RA, branding category management
Participate in team category reviews/PLC sessions
Keep up with food retail and food service trends (research marketplace and cuisine as necessary)
Stay abreast of developments in vendor community
Set up supplier visits to review current and new products, (tour facility, discuss new opportunities and ensure vendor capabilities and/or opportunities and limitations are identified.)
Contribute to meeting milestones and plan dates
On-time, accurate and detailed paperwork delivered to customers throughout business
On-time management of critical PD control points related to LBL Source
Effective sample handling (photography, presentation samples, home evaluation
You will provide support to the team in the areas of project coordination, communication and other miscellaneous duties as required
