Media planners should be mathematical in their method but creative in their thinking, anticipating non-traditional but effective places to buy ads, and combining it with a support of traditional ad buying. You should be very analytical, and know how to translate research into tactics that will produce great results. You should also know how to stick to a budget, and keep additional costs, fees, and taxes in mind while planning.
