  • Collaborate with internal customers on meeting logistics, including food and beverage, audio/visual requests, and other special needs; communicate with the meeting facility
  • Manage staff responsible for event coordination activities
  • Hire, train, and educate staff on proper event procedures
  • Manage team members with events including: Corporate, Harvests, Festivals, Convention and other miscellaneous events held at the farm
  • Negotiates contracts and maintains relationships with preferred vendors
  • Compiles estimated cost models, submits final budget, tracks budget statistics, and prepares management reports
  • Coordinates registration and payment procedures, promotional advertising and mailings, and corporate sponsorship activities, when applicable
  • Organizes required catering services and room and communication equipment setup
  • Oversees on-site staffing and registration
  • Determines appropriate responses to problems and emergencies while providing a high level of customer service and the handling of stressful situations
  • Provides project status updates
  • Ability to create, manage, and reconcile a budget for each managed event
  • Actively contribute to the improvement of event standards and office processes
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Willing to travel and work evening and weekends during events
  • Four to Six years’ experience as an Event Planning Manager
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university is preferred
  • Previous MLM experience is a plus but not required
  • Experience negotiating rates on venues, hotels and events equipment
  • Must be able to present to large groups
  • Work well under pressure
  • Demonstrate expertise with Microsoft products and other applicable software or applications
