  • Monitor staff funding for all Research Associates and Project Managers and supervise staff as needed
  • Coordinate staffing needs for all 53 SPD research staff across projects
  • Provide senior administrative and scientific leadership on research projects including writing proposals and papers and implementing research protocols
  • Serve as ad hoc member of the Center Operations Group and CHR Compliance Committee
  • Develop with COG and CHR Compliance Committee members key policies and procedures that are both streamlined and compliant with KP and federal policies
  • Provide key leadership on special projects as defined by CHR Leadership Team
  • Minimum six (6) years of experience managing large, complex, and/or multi-site social, behavioral, medical, or health services research projects
  • Experience must include direct supervision of staff and experience in evaluating staff performance
  • Minimum four (4) years of research administrative and management experience
  • Extensive research experience in social, behavioral, health services, clinical, or related areas
  • Research experience within an operating health care system
  • Thorough knowledge of standard desktop computing software packages (word processing, spread sheeting, presentation software, Internet browsers, etc.)
  • Thorough knowledge of specialized models and theories in a discipline area applicable to the research
  • Excellent computer programming skills
