Collaborate with other departments and business owners to improve quality of care to CareSource Maternal-Child members through implementation of quality initiatives and interventions
Innovate quality and processes to deliver advanced maternal programs and member care across the Medicaid market
Collaborate with Physician Relations, Medical Director, Director of Health Outcomes, ODM, Community Marketing and Corporate/BPG to deliver excellence in accreditation, administration and member CareSource
In collaboration with Director of Health Outcomes, ensures accreditation & quality requirements are met through review, audit and monitoring of quality improvement/performance improvement and accreditation activities
Participates in driving and achieving established HEDIS initiatives as asigned
Participate as requested in analysis, including root cause analyses, with support from identified business owners and departments; ensures data is presented and used effectively to address accreditation, clinical monitoring, and quality and performance improvement identified issues
Participate in community-based maternal-child initiatives including QI and Health Services initiatives
In collaboration with Director of Health Outcomes, establishes and maintains standards and procedures for accreditation and quality reporting and documentation and communicates areas of strengths as well as opportunities for improvement to the Quality Enterprise Committee
Participate in national health standards committees and focus groups specific to maternal-child and provides input on behalf of CareSource regarding any suggested revision(s)
Participates in internal workgroups/committees to improve quality measures, accreditation and clinical monitoring outcomes
Assists in the determination of benchmarks, goals and outcomes for all maternal-child programs
Provide leadership, direction and development of staff to ensure the department goals are successfully achieved
Bachelor of Science in health related field or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required
Masters degree in health services, public health, health care administration or other health care field is preferred
A minimum of three (3) years in a Managed Care Organization (MCO) or other healthcare related field is required
A minimum of three (3) years of experience in quality or analytics is required
Leadership/management experience is preferred
Maternal/child health nursing care or program development experience is preferred
Medicaid experience is preferred
Experience in data collection, analysis and trending of processes and outcomes
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to include, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Experience in a high-growth business environment
Knowledge of the principles of performance improvement, quality methodology, regulations and standards to meet health plan quality and accreditation requirements
