  • Ensure representation on special projects. Maintain current knowledge of company products and services, relevant systems and various methods of training delivery
  • Monitor reviews and/or evaluate the quality of service provided by department staff to measure quality and identify non-conformance. May provide regular coaching and feedback to individual staff
  • Review and/or handle appeals or elevated issues as appropriate
  • Prepare reports of quality results for use by management in evaluating performance or developing training
  • Schedule staff to assure adequate/required service level coverage for customers
  • Validate the accuracy of decisions and processes for adherence to set standards and/or applicable regulations or requirements. May work with external parties for resolution
  • Continue to develop knowledge and stay abreast of all applicable changes in industry laws and regulations
  • Experience in the development of quality training materials and procedures and the delivery of effective training in a variety of environments
  • Knowledge of insurance products (i.e. Medicare Supplement, Long-Term Care, Disability Income and Accidential Death, Life insurance and annuity), claims processing and billing procedures and/or
  • Knowledge of a brokerage or agency distribution model procedures, products and methods
  • Highly developed leadership skills
  • Strong planning, organizational, analytical, decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and well-developed/excellent classroom/presentation skills
  • Demonstrated teamwork, initiative and the ability to accomplish tasks independently with minimal direction and continuous process improvement efforts
  • Broad knowledge of insurance industry and strong understanding of corporate and division policies, practices and procedures
  • Strong technical background with ability to use various software applications and ability to manage integration of business systems (systems include Genesys/GAD, Confluence, JIRA, Qfiniti, Market On Demand, PeopleSoft, CC Pulse, MS office suite of products)
  • Strong Human Relations and Customer Service skills
  • Experience managing customer relationships in a customer facing environment
  • Ability to handle detail work accurately within established deadlines and under pressure
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with disability claims
  • Ability to methodically and consistently manage customer relationships on an individual level to support profitable growth
  • Thorough knowledge of the development, application, facilitation and evaluation of various techniques, methodologies and processes related to learning, business processes, and testing
  • Strong project management, business processes, and analytical skills
