  • Reviews, initiates, writes and/or recommends modifications and special inspection leaflets, special technical instructions, technical investigations, Statements Of Work, studies and projects
  • Assists in the preparation of work to incorporate changes or improvements
  • Reviews/propose amendment to the contract deliverables such as drawings and technical manuals
  • Reviews, conducts and recommends Acceptance Test Procedures
  • Reviews Materiel requests, Unsatisfactory Condition Reports, Publication Discrepancy Reports, Pre-Installation Failures, Flight Safety and other technical reports and prepares suitable comments for completion
  • Carries out site visits to Bases/Wings and contractors as required
  • Reviews field training requirements and recommends corrective actions when required
  • Provides assistance to supply item managers as required regarding repair & overhaul activities, disposal actions and parts identifications
  • Monitors Immediate Operational Requirements demands, Maintenance Record Set data, etc., to identify maintenance trends and recommends actions if required
  • Contacts Deputy Aircraft Engineering Officers on maintenance, modifications and performance of their respective aircraft requirements; and
  • Participates in Technical/Progress Review meetings, review and recommends approval of minutes and co-ordinate actions
  • Quality Management
  • Have Department of National Defense Life Cycle Material Management Trade training or civilian equivalent
  • Bilingualism an asset (French and English)
  • Ability to write reports in English
  • Proficiency the following software: Parts Management Software Inventory Management (ex. SAP, DRIMS), Data Management System (DMS), Microsoft Office
  • To be eligible to obtain a NATO Secret status from the Canadian Industrial Security Program
