Incorporate lessons learned into construction activity and provide timely feedback to project manager and engineering of new developments impacting schedule, cost & quality
Manage interdepartmental communications and meetings so that the construction group functions effectively & efficiently within the broader GPH team
Work with engineering & projects directors to coordinate site plans and layouts consistent with development of standard plot plans for each product
Manage construction department staff development and performance standards through use of established Honeywell HR systems
Responsible for cost accounting, budget management and analysis for Construction department for all active projects within construction phases
Manage all issues related to job site safety, job site security and construction quality
Participate in Tier communication boards, production planning, SIOP in collaboration with the Business
Conduct site visits of active projects, coordinate work with execution teams & assure projects are adequately staffed for plant start-up
Perform other duties as required by the Business and requested by Global Director of Projects and GPH ESE Leadership Team
Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate EPCM scope and agreements with both customers and construction & Installation partners
Analytical Skills: Must be good at planning for large scale, complex and multi-step domestic & international project portfolio with clear understanding of contract terms, technical specifications, client requirements
Decision Making: Must be an effective decision maker and intelligent risk taker in managing customer expectations, construction partners, equipment vendors, internal & external relationships
Management Skills: Must lead construction team and keep staff focused on delivering to results as specified within master execution plan
Communication: Ability to communicate to Sr. Executive levels (including CEOs) of customers (and internally). Good verbal and written communication skills for technical exchange of information, guidance of staff, installation partners, vendors and internal/external execution teams. Ability to report on progress and performance metrics w/in all levels of organization
Technical: Ability to read all engineering drawings as such plot plans, P&IDs, isometrics and geo-tech reports, understand applicable construction/equipment codes and have knowledge of construction methodologies in natural gas plant construction to implement complex project execution plans
Time Management: Must have strong time management skills to keep portfolio of projects on schedule while maintaining complete balance of cost, scope, quality and communication with project manager and stakeholders
Minimum 20 years’ experience working in the oil and gas industry
Minimum of 15 years in Construction Management experience with increasing levels of responsibility & EPC experience
Bachelor of Science in All Engineering Disciplines or Construction Management Fields
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in leading large construction projects ranging in value from $5 - $250 million up to a $Billion dollar portfolio
Master’s Degree Preferred
Experience in executing international lump sum turnkey (LSTK)/ EPC projects preferred
Proven ability to manage a high-production construction schedule with multiple deadlines, in-house and outside resources and interdepartmental coordination
Experience in negotiating and managing subcontracts and working with international vendors, EPC firms with the ability to adapt to variety of situations, climates and cultures
Significant Experience in negotiating LSTK and EPCM contracts, including knowledge of regional standards
Risk management experience
Ability to think strategically and to envision and balance "big-picture" priorities
Computer literacy with demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office Project (Word, Excel) and Internet
Ability to travel both domestic and internationally up to 50% of the time
