  • Functions in the capacity of scrub tech, circulator, and monitor person for diagnostic and interventional procedures and cares for patients post procedure with an RN or LPN. Administers eligible medications under the supervision of the MD after satisfactory completion of Pharmacology Certification Class
  • Takes call as needed per hospital policy
  • Responsible for all phases of the DLX digital system
  • Transports and assists with the setup preparation of patients
  • Actively supports team as participant to turn over procedure room in a timely manner
  • Actively participates in continuing education
  • Serves as a liaison for the cath lab to promote physician, interdepartmental and intradepartmental relationships
  • Utilizes equipment and performs special procedures competently as related to the Cath Lab Scope of Care
  • Efficiently communicates verbal and written information, instruction or education to the patient, family members and other members of the health care team as appropriate
  • One year experience in Cardiovascular education clinical program; or,
  • 3 years direct patient care clinical experience as a Radiologic Technician/Technologist, Paramedic, or in another patient care related field with significant patient contact
  • Graduate of a clinical patient care related educational program with significant clinical experience as described in experience requirements
  • Employees hired prior to 2002 will have until December, 2004 to meet the credentialing requirement
