  • Manipulates data in Excel, SAS, Access and other software, identifying and researching trends/anomalies
  • Conducts analysis under moderate supervision by qualitatively and/or quantitatively analyzing data/information, including exploratory data analysis, graphing, forecasting and modeling
  • Based on analysis, develops reports, presentations and proposals for action and/or implementation plans and presents to manager/senior management to assist in decision making. Communicates findings with other departments as necessary
  • Uses the information gathered to develop standard, repeatable and documented processes and reporting, utilizing macros where appropriate
  • Performs special projects as requested
  • Performs quality assurance checks/ peer reviews on the work of other team members/departments
  • Advanced analytical/problem solving and research skills
  • Effective communication skills for writing reports and making presentations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a group
  • Knowledge of financial accounting, business practices and processes
  • Knowledge of the appropriate tools and techniques to perform specific analyses; as normally obtained through a bachelor's degree in mathematics/statistics/related field (BS required, MS preferred)
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and database software, in particular Excel, SAS, and Access
  • At least one year of relevant experience
