Referee Job Description
- Assist in planning of various Referee Programs & Development Academy Events
- Conduct research, track and contribute to reporting of National Officials and National Referee Coaches
- Assist with registration of officials while coordinating with State Associations to ensure all registration requirements are met
- Work within various platforms specific to the Referee Programs and U.S. Soccer
- Fulfill Federation-wide internship roles and assist leadership with special projects as assigned
- Signals participants or other officials to make them aware of infractions or to otherwise regulate play or competition
- Inspects sporting equipment and/or examines participants in order to ensure compliance with event and safety regulations
- Keeps track of event times, including elapsed time during game segments, starting or stopping play when necessary

- Confers with other sporting officials, coaches, players, and facility managers in order to provide information, coordinate activities, and discuss problems
