- Identifies and describes the various components of an oil refinery process system
- Understands, identifies and describes the components and materials used in Industrial systems
- Defines terms, identifies applications, outlines layout process, fabricates and installs of pan-out and cut outs, concentric reducer, eccentric reducer, square to round transition, square to square transition, spherical or elliptical head, gored butterfly elbow and lateral fitting without supervision
- Identifies the terms and applications for pre-insulated panels
- Identifies the applications for removable soft covers
- Outlines the layout process, fabricates and installs removable box coverings on piping and equipment without supervision
- Interprets mechanical drawings to describe processes, identifies their divisions and components related to specifications and addendums related to industrial systems
- Identifies, defines and applies information found on ISO and P&ID drawings for the application of insulating materials without supervision
- Completion of a 4 year technical training program (steamfitter, plumber, or equivalent)
- You must possess a B.C
- Interest in an apprenticeship in the pipefitting trade
- Ability to learn new skills, computers, oil analysis, hand held monitors
- Possessing a Red Seal Interprovincial Pipefitting Ticket qualifications and industrial experience would be an asset
- Certified Red Seal/ Alberta Journeyman Insulation Certification or equivilent Journeyman hours
