Responsibilities for certified nursing assistant
  • On occasion and in conjunction with providing care, may perform a variety of housekeeping and cleaning duties as related to direct care in order to assure that the clinical facility is clean, sanitary, orderly, and properly supplied
  • Participate in required quarterly in-service education to maintain certification and meet all necessary requirements to be re-certified every two years
  • May perform skills, within scope of practice for unlicensed assistive personnel
  • Documents care provided
  • Assists with transport including patients, CSR and lab
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) (required within 30 days of hire)
Qualifications for certified nursing assistant
  • Must be able to see and hear to monitor lights, sounds and alarms on equipment
