  • To ensure our UK Transfer Agent has full and complete information at their disposal in order to fulfil our service expectations, and have received the requisite training
  • To ensure that in the event of any complaint, that the complaint is resolved in the manner and to the standards BlackRock prescribe, and that the root cause of the issue is addressed
  • Respond to email inbox queries from internal stakeholders and referrals from our Transfer Agent, ensuring responses are sent promptly and within our internal SLA
  • Be responsible for recording complaints received by our UK Transfer Agent in addition to complaints received directly to individuals in the UK Retail business
  • Be responsible for reviewing complaint sequence of events (SOE) documents and resolution letters produced by our UK Transfer Agents, to ensure the correct resolution has been reached and that the letter is written in the style we have prescribed and agreed
  • Undertake monthly monitoring of phone calls and emails and letter responses produced by our team and by our UK Transfer Agent and produce statistics and commentary to evidence quality and trends for consumption by senior management. You will ensure each of the communications focuses on TCF principles and guarantees the correct outcome for the client
  • Monitor the KPIs, escalate if our SLA has not been met and use these figures to report in the team’s quarterly board report
  • Act as a client service champion, intermediating the UK Transfer Agents to ensure they understand how important the client experience is to BlackRock, enabling us to deliver the best possible service to our clients
  • Assist in managing relationships and organising communications with internal teams and Transfer Agents to ensure client queries and issues are being addressed and resolved as efficiently as possible
  • Proactively develop familiarity with BlackRock’s existing products and operational processes to aid query resolution and assist with the design and delivery of client communications and services
  • Be required to produce accurate periodic MIS related to the work undertaken by you and the team
  • Be expected to participate proactively in the continuous improvement of our control environment, policies and procedures, including writing and updating team policies, procedures and presentations as necessary
  • Be expected to partner with the Sales teams and other business stakeholders to develop solutions for our clients, exploring our service capabilities and continually looking for ways to innovate and provide clients with improved and better service outcomes
  • Contribute to project initiatives that seek to improve our service, effectiveness and efficiency, or which impact the Retail business, its products and its clients
  • Experience in a client servicing role, ideally in a TA environment
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of customers /providers to BlackRock and ability to work closely with others to meet objectives
  • Demonstrates an ability to manage a working relationship with providers, is prepared to escalate issues and communicate with all levels
  • Able to manage and resolve conflicting priorities
  • Experience of dealing with intermediary clients and end-retail investors over telephone and email. Experience of a telephone service-based environment within an asset management or similar firm would be an advantage
  • Experience working with internal stakeholders and influencing for positive and timely client-focused outcomes

  • A confident, friendly and respectful individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable liaising with client and colleagues at all levels
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft software such as Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
