Lims Specialist Environmental Microbiology Resume Examples & Samples

Occasionally conduct ambient air, compressed air, potable water, purified water, equipment surface monitoring, as well as visual inspections, within manufacturing environments
Create, maintain, and update all LIMS EM module master data; including, but not limited to, environmental monitoring product specifications, programs, sample types, lists, organisms, instruments, and classifications
Troubleshoot LIMS EM issues. LIMS EM module liaison with the ‘Global Technical Operations Laboratory Informatics and Instrumentation Center of Excellence’ team to assist with testing data set-up, troubleshooting LIMS EM module issues, creating, maintaining, and updating all user guides and training materials associated with the LIMS EM, and new module functionality and upgrades. Coordinate cross-module LIMS functionality needs with the ‘QC LIMS Master Data Group&#8217
Provide support for LIMS projects; including, but not limited to, business and user requirements, consultant support, and master data template building
Assist team members and other analysts with troubleshooting instrumentation, LIMS EM module and other system data, and aberrant sample results
Operate general laboratory equipment such as an analytical balance, pH meter, stereoscope, manual and/or automated colony counter, biological safety cabinet, ambient and compressed air sampler, chlorine colorimeter. Prepare test media and solutions, assist in calibration and record keeping, calculate raw data
Review and process data, and ensure that it meet specifications, enter data into the computer, maintain instrument logbooks, laboratory worksheets, and all relevant documentation according to cGMP documentation practices, review all information and compile information into report form
Participate in analytical investigations by performing action steps (testing), querying LIMS records, and obtaining other relevant information and documentation to support the investigation process
Provide clear and concise observations of room status and activities at the time of monitoring
Perform general cleaning and maintenance, stocking of testing supplies, and general laboratory support
Review paperwork and documentation from other analysts
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 0-2 years of experience. Previous experience in a laboratory setting preferred. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration
Position requires knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures, Mylan Laboratory Procedures, USP regulations, Aseptic Technique, cGMP, OSHA regulations/procedures for disposal of biohazardous and organic waste, and procedures for the safe handling of chemicals and microorganisms
Must possess good communication, writing, reading, comprehension, organizational, and computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. Must be accurate, detail oriented, possess the ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced, high output environment
Ability to read and interpret complex business and/or technical documents. Ability to write comprehensive reports and detailed business correspondence. Ability to work with groups of people such as other departments and communicate known concepts. Ability to present to a group of departments
Ability to solve problems with a variety of concrete variables through semi-standardized solutions that require some ingenuity and analysis. Ability to draw inferences and follow prescribed and detailed procedures to solve moderately complex problems
Normal laboratory and manufacturing situation. Regular exposure to chemicals, solvents, fumes and/or gases. Works alone or closely with others. Requires extensive safety training and/or protective devices
Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading and writing English is preferred
