  • Troubleshoots work-related problems by applying knowledge and experience to effectively maintain production/quality goals with minimal attrition to equipment
  • Suggests improvements in work methods and procedures by speaking with supervisor(s) and joining PPI teams when possible
  • Confers with other operators, engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems
  • Starts press and monitors machine operation to detect misalignment or malfunction
  • Determines production rate by calculating parts present upon completion of job and comparing to OPS card
  • Turns hand wheel or levers to set depth and pressure of ram stroke
