Previously, I was responsible for documented training records directly related to the job description which has been reviewed and approved by the Monticello Maintenance Training Instructor as well as the Xcel Energy Welding Instructor.

I reviewed the requirements of the job opening and I believe my candidacy is an excellent fit for this position. Some of the key requirements that I have extensive experience with include:

• Understand welding techniques
• Perform Automatic machine GTAW Cladding, Welding, Grinding, Gouging, Flame Cutting, Material Handling and other relevant fabrication activities in line with Engineering drawing, WPS and manufacturing orders
• Support the HSE implementation in the shop
• Minimum ITI / ITE / Diploma / graduate in science
• Should be able to read and understand English
• Pro-active, willing to learn from mistake, hardworking, able to work in shift under pressure
• Overlay simple parts with minimum defects - should be able to identify welding machine problems and wire or gas problems which can cause welding defects
• Should be able to take proper corrective actions to produce sound welds and learn from mistakes

• Experience with welding all sorts of metal materials
• Have an in depth knowledge of GTAW and other welding practices and equipment
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within pipeline industry (abrasive blasting, line locating/probing, excavating, spotting for heavy equipment)
• Use of PPE including eyewear, steel toe boots, and gloves as needed
• Experience in MIG welding
• Will be doing MIG welding
• Working with mild steel (some aluminum)
• Experience welding larger parts is preferred

• Should be able to raise maintenance request for any major equipment breakdown
• Minimum qualification should be 1G, 2G and 3G with minimum SMAW, GTAW and GMAW processes
• Minimum Certificate / Diploma in welding technology
• Should be able to read and understand English, Engineering drawing, welding symbols and WPS
• Able to do basic computer data entry and operation
• Able to speak, read and write simple English
• No relocation reimbursement or per diem paid
• Pass Service Solutions welding test based on American Welding Society (AWS) Structural Welding Code Section 5.28.2 9A.N.S.I./A.W.S.D1.1
