Previously, I was responsible for oversight and hands on craftsmanship for the care and upkeep fo precious and dense/high melting point metals.

• Expert knowledge with hand tools and power tools and their safe operation
• Basic computer literacy for completion of applicable documentation and training
• Installs packing, gaskets, liners, and structural accessories and members, such as doors, hatches, brackets, and clips
• May prepare molds and templates for fabrication of nonstandard parts
• May tack weld clips and brackets in place prior to permanent welding
• May roll, bend, flange, cut, and shape plates, beams, and other heavy metal parts, using shop machinery, such as plate rolls, presses, bending brakes, and joggle machines
• Highly proficient with MIG welding at minimum, TIG & Fluxcore capabilities preferred
• Previously AWS certifications preferred

• General drawing knowledge ( are all parts there?)
• Follow WPS-s and properly setup/adjust welding machine volts, amps, wire speed, and shielding gas flow rate
• Capable of completing various types of paperwork
• Experience in all areas of facility/industrial maintenance preferred
• Be a Fitter Welder IV in good standing or capable of being a Fitter Welder IV
• Training in Lean Manufacturing processes
• Working knowledge of Valmont’s Manufacturing process
• Experience in basic MIG welding
