• Ecclesiastical Endorsement by a recognized faith group for ministry in a specialized setting
• Ordination or commissioning to function in a ministry of pastoral care
• Certification by the Association of Professional Chaplains (APC) or National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC) or National Association of Jewish Chaplains (NAJC)
• Member in good standing of a recognized Christian denomination
• Completion of two units of Clinical Pastoral Education or equivalent
• Hospice experience and/or equivalent education in pastoral ministry is preferred
• Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) training
• Completion of at least 4 CPEs (Clinical Pastoral Education)

• Experience and expertise in the area of interpersonal communications, group process development, and facilitation and development of communal liturgical expression
• Knowledge and experience in ministering to persons who are dying and their grieving family and friends
• Hospice/Home health software documentation
• Master of Divinity or equivalent meeting the Association of Professional Chaplains requirements
• Minimum of two units of Clinical Pastoral Education accredited by Association for Clinical Pastoral Education
• Four units of CPE education preferred

• Certification by The Association of Professional Chaplains (APC), The National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC), American Association of Pastoral Counselors (AAPC), National Association of Jewish Chaplains (NAJC) or Association of Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) or in the process of application for certification by one of the aforementioned certifying bodies preferred
• A minimum of four units of clinical pastoral education (CPE)

• Competency with a laptop computer, an automated medical record, care plans and medical standards documentation
