- Provide Windows Server administration support for incidents, problems and change ensuring that all work is within the relevant service level agreements and adheres to appropriate BT processes
- Support of environments based on virtual platforms for internal services and external customers
- Involved in design, build, configuration and live support
- The role holder is responsible for implementing and transitioning new managed IT solutions into support and providing in-life support as required
- The role includes assessing and interpreting solution designs and determining impact and requirements for in-life support as well as providing expert technical support to customers and solutions
- The role holder will have a broad range of IT skills and experience, with specialisation in one or more key fields
- The role holder will interface to customers at all levels
- ITIL foundation accredited
- Excellent overall IT skills and knowledge
- Relevant computer science based degree or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of experience in design, implementation and support of Microsoft servers (Server 2008 R2 and 2012 R2) at a professional data center provider
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Knowledge of high availability systems
- Very good command of spoken and written languages (English)
- Veritas/Symantec NetBackup administration
- TrendMicro Anti-virus knowledge
- Shavlik patching technology
- Excellent Customer relationship skills
- Excellent verbal and written English language skills
