- Measure customer's eyes, including pupillary and vertex distance as well as making all required measurements for bifocals, trifocals or progressive addition lenses
- Prepare work orders for the ophthalmic lab so that the lenses can be processed including work orders include information on lens prescriptions, lens sizes and types, material, frame information, papillary distance and vertex distance
- Recommend eyeglass frames, lenses, lens coatings, and ancillary products after considering the prescription and customer's needs and facial features
- Use a lensometer to verify prescriptions and edge lenses
- High school graduate and minimum
- Three (3) years experience working as an optician required
- Optician license preferred
