Conduct Ad hoc and pro-active analytics to inform business critical decisions
Continuous monitoring of financial performance and provide useful insights to stakeholders for driving improvement in business performance
Build effective stakeholder relationships across finance and beyond
Provide leadership to junior members of the analytics team and influence/shape Finance information strategy
Carry out data mining and modelling of customer profitability data. Develop self-serve tools to facilitate stakeholders in extracting useful insights from our database
Own the BAU processes (e.g. product vintage tracking and regular reporting) which are critical to stakeholders who use our data for reporting and modelling purposes. Oversee the input assumptions into the models and create process, controls around the assumptions
Automate manual BAU processes to improve productivity
Experience of working in the Financial Services industry
Experience of developing financial / data driven models
Experience of developing multi-regressions or propensity models a plus
Drove business decisions through profitability analysis / data insight
Experience using and developing outputs for reporting and visualization tools (Qlikview, Tableau, Cognos or similar)
Experience developing an understanding of ‘Big Data’ through discovery and deduction
Barclays data/analytics experience a distinct advantage
Demonstration of high degree of effective stakeholder management and project ownership
Record of successful project delivery
Excellent numerical and analytical skills
Technical data skills - must have highly developed SAS/SQL skills
Practical programming experience e.g. VBA, Python
Ability to work independently in data extraction, taking ownership of the accuracy of outputs
Good knowledge of the financial services industry
Ability to interpret complex data to make relevant business recommendations
Working knowledge of data structure across Barclays group a distinct advantage
Post graduate qualification in a numerate discipline desirable
