Tyler Berl

Tyler became a licensed paramedic in 2011 and quickly sought out high acuity settings. He joined Orange Park Medical Center, where he spent six years in the emergency department before advancing to the trauma team. His daily responsibilities included trauma activations, cardiac arrests, strokes, septic patients, and pediatric emergencies. Repeated exposure to these situations sharpened his assessment skills and reinforced disciplined decision-making.

Throughout his tenure in the emergency department, Tyler developed advanced proficiency in cardiac life support, airway management, rapid sequence intubation, and ventilator operation. Physicians and residents relied on his composure during resuscitations, trusting his ability to act decisively under pressure. Alongside countless life-saving interventions, he also assisted with three emergency deliveries, moments that provided meaning within an otherwise relentless clinical environment.

Seeking to broaden his experience, Tyler transitioned into pediatric care and interfacility transport. Treating children required heightened attention to physiology and emotional response. During the COVID pandemic, he was among the few paramedics authorized to transport pediatric patients using high-flow oxygen systems. He routinely managed ventilated patients with unstable vitals, adjusting medications continuously to maintain stability during transport.

In 2020, Tyler Berl earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a public health focus, expanding his understanding of patient behavior and healthcare systems. He completed nursing school in 2025 and became a registered nurse that summer. After briefly stepping away to care for family, he returned to Florida ready to resume practice. Grounded by discipline, faith, and experience, Tyler brings depth and reliability to patient care.
