Lead Graphic Designer / Asst. Creative Director

Responsibilities (Include, but not limited to)

- The outputting of branding and marketing materials for the top eyewear brands (Prada, Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, Tiffany, Ray-Ban, etc) through Luxottica, the world’s largest eyewear company.

- Visiting glasses stores and doctor’s offices requested by Luxottica throughout Long Island and the five boroughs of New York City to meet with the owner, explain and discuss plans for window graphics and take photos and detailed measurements of all possible surfaces for graphics.

- Taking the measurements, photos, brand and location requests and creating realistic digital renderings of how the graphics will look in the stores to send to the owners and to Luxottica for approval. For locations outside of Long Island and New York City, local sign companies were contracted to survey the stores and send back the same information and photos. This yielded varied results, however, I would compile the information in the same way and correct images to ensure consistent quality.

- Pulling .ZIP files uploaded by Luxottica’s creative director from the company FTP (Using Fetch on Mac and CuteFTP on Windows) and, depending on what was in them, either setting up graphics in compliance with brand guidelines or outputting graphics previously set up with a relinked image.

- Precisely match color proofs provided by brand headquarters printed across a variety of different materials. (Luster and matte paper, Duratran, banner, canvas, etc).

- Basic maintenance of commercial printers; Epson Stylus Pro 11880 and Epson Stylus Pro 9600

- Returning to the stores previously surveyed to install graphics as per the approved renderings.

- Creation and maintenance of a database system to complete monthly audits of window graphic installations throughout the country; able to be organized by store, location and/or brand, to be sent to Luxottica and then to each brand’s representative.

- All stages of preparation to ship graphics including lamination and trimming, packing, labeling and drop-off.

- Delivering packages personally to local businesses to save on time and shipping expenses.

- Walk-in design, photo restoration / retouching, studio photography, artwork scanning and reproduction, etc. and to be able to explain the processes being done on their jobs if they wanted to sit next to me and watch.
