Teddy's connection to New Zealand comes through five generations of family ties, and his dual-hemisphere, bi-coastal early life shaped his global perspective. This background supports his current work with long-term and lifestyle-oriented investors who seek financial returns while building meaningful connections to New Zealand and contributing to its economy, environment, and infrastructure.

As Founder and Managing Partner of KEA Capital Partners, Teddy leads acquisition strategies across New Zealand’s “golden triangle,” with a focus on light industrial sectors. The firm works to acquire, grow, and consolidate established businesses that are important to the country’s infrastructure. Through KEA Capital Partners, he is raising funds from investors seeking residency in New Zealand and a meaningful role in its economy.

Teddy developed KEA Capital Partners’s business plan and thesis during his first year in Wharton’s Executive MBA program. This included building advisory relationships, stress-testing the plan, and shaping a timely opportunity. KEA Capital Partners now offers a geopolitical insurance product for investors concerned about macroeconomic uncertainty and interested in New Zealand as a safe and stable place to live and invest. His model combines private equity, search fund approaches, local partnerships, community events, and philanthropic opportunities.

Before KEA Capital Partners, Teddy served as Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of an investment bank that processed eight and nine-figure transactions. He also co-founded a marketplace for unique experiences through an incubator and built partnerships with major providers. In consulting, he co-founded a leadership and family business advisory service that supports business families, executives, and next-generation leaders across the United States, the Middle East, and New Zealand.

Teddy has developed a nonprofit and executive retreat destination near Boulder, Colorado, improving a forty-acre property centered on connection, reflection, wellness, and community. Since 2017, he has supported Navy SEAL families through a foundation and helped raise six- and seven-figure sums for charities.

Teddy graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies, received recognition for the university’s best senior essay, competed as an NCAA Division I lightweight rower, and played rugby.

Today, Teddy Teece works with a New Zealand-based team, supports charitable organizations, writes, drums, works the land, and seeks adventure. He continues to focus on service, stewardship, and long-term partnerships that help build lasting organizations and communities.
