Teddy Teece

Teddy Teece serves as the Managing Partner of Kea Capital Partners (KCP), an investment firm that connects international capital with New Zealand’s light industrial sector. His background covers entrepreneurship, investment, philanthropy, finance, technology, executive coaching, and real estate. His work has centered on bringing purpose, profit, and environmental responsibility together while addressing overlooked or distinct market challenges.

Teddy's family connection to New Zealand extends across five generations. Growing up across two hemispheres and coasts also contributed to his international and entrepreneurial perspective. He supports long-term and lifestyle-oriented investors seeking financial returns while developing closer ties to New Zealand and contributing to the country’s economy, environment, and infrastructure.

As Founder and Managing Partner of KCP, Teddy oversees acquisition strategies throughout the “golden triangle,” concentrating on light industrial sectors. The firm acquires, grows, and consolidates established businesses that contribute to the country’s infrastructure. During his first year in an Executive MBA program, he worked on the firm’s business plan and thesis, developed advisory relationships, and stress-tested the strategy. Its investment model combines private equity and search fund approaches with local partnerships, community events, and philanthropic opportunities.

Previously, Teddy served as Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of an investment bank that experienced rapid early growth and processed eight- and nine-figure transactions. He also co-founded a marketplace for unique experiences, developed through an incubator while establishing partnerships with recognized providers. He later co-founded a family-business advisory practice within a global consulting firm, supporting business families, executives, and next-generation leaders across the United States, the Middle East, and New Zealand.

Teddy also developed a non-profit and executive coaching center, personally built several features of the property, and led teams as a general contractor. Since 2017, he has supported Navy SEAL families through a foundation where he serves in an advisory role. He has also helped raise six- and seven-figure sums for charities and has participated in community dialogue in San Francisco.

Teddy Teece is an Executive MBA candidate at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. He currently works with a New Zealand-based team, supports charitable organizations, works the land, writes, drums, and adventures while maintaining a long-term focus on stewardship, service, partnerships, businesses, and communities.
