Work Experience: PSE&G Field Collections
2013-2013 (Temporary) As a Field Collector I collect delinquent balances from customers, which are past due, by direct contact with the customer. I'm responsible for picking up check or cash payments to prevent any disconnection of Gas and Electric. When a customer is unavailable, a note if left to call to discuss account.
PSE&G Collection Representative
2007-present I Performed collection and credit work at the inquiry centers in connection with the interviewing of customers concerning collection, credit problems, the collection of unpaid accounts for gas and electric service, deposits, sundry sales and other related clerical work. I also completed various administrative collection activities including, but not limited to: the examination of accounts previously shut off for non-payment, active and broken payment arrangements, security deposit request, inhibited accounts and collection correspondence. 2005-2007 I was responsible for taking calls to assist our customer with billing, creating a new account for new customers, canceling accounts for existing customer. I was responsible for creating orders for gas leaks, and power outages. I did all these things to the best of my ability, and our customers were very satisfied with my assistants. 2003-2005 I performed field work in connection with reading gas meter in straight gas area, and other related works. Read gas meters on customers' premises, as assigned and make required entries. Record reason for no reading and estimate readings in the field of meters in accordance with established procedure. Report meters not included in the assignment and report all listed meters that I can not locate. Answer customers' questions regarding meter reading procedures, service, or other related matters of a minor routine nature and report such customer request and complaints in the field. Report all incidents that may occur while in the field.
