Shafaat Pirani

Dr. Shafaat Pirani is a board-certified Geriatric Pharmacist with certifications in Medication Therapy Management from the American Pharmacists Association and a teaching certification from the University of South Florida. He holds courtesy faculty appointments at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy and the University of South Florida Taneja College of Pharmacy, where he actively supports the development of students through education, training, and mentorship opportunities.

Shafaat Bahram Pirani was inducted into Phi Lambda Sigma, the pharmacy leadership society, and is a member of respected professional associations, including the American Pharmacists Association, National Community Pharmacists Association, National Association of Specialty Pharmacy, National Council of Prescription Drug Programs, and the Florida Pharmacists Association. These memberships demonstrate his ongoing commitment to professional growth and to advancing the pharmacy profession through service and leadership.

As an innovator, Dr. Pirani developed a Provisional Patent for a “Method and Apparatus for Prescription Delivery,” designed to improve access, adherence, and transparency with medications. His broad expertise includes pharmacy leadership, digital product growth strategies, pharmaceutical supply chain management, telemedicine, clinical operations, and regulatory compliance. This blend of skills enables him to bring forward-thinking solutions to healthcare while addressing critical patient and industry needs.

Currently, Dr. Pirani serves as Chief Clinical Officer of Wellgistics Health, a Tampa-based publicly traded pharmaceutical distributor. The company specializes in digital prescription routing and AI-powered hub fulfillment, helping independent pharmacies streamline patient access. In this role, he provides strategic vision, develops interoperable healthcare solutions, and has played a vital part in the company’s growth, including its transition to becoming a public company on the national stage.

Before this, he served as Chief Clinical and Regulatory Compliance Officer at Bonum Health and TRxADE Health, where his work focused on designing digital health systems and sustainable pharmacy programs that supported patient outcomes. Earlier roles included leadership at Alliance Pharma Solutions, a mail-order pharmacy, and a nonprofit clinic, where he spearheaded initiatives that expanded service reach, reduced costs, and improved workflow efficiency across pharmacy operations.
