SANJAY KISAN METKAR

My self Sanjay Metkar, from Chettinad Academy of Research and Education (CARE) Chennai (INDIA). Presently, I have submitted Ph.D. Thesis, and interested in applying for the Post Doc position in life sciences area. I have worked on the Serine enzyme for amyloid (Insulin, Prion and Abeta amyloid) disintegration in my Ph.D. and it outputs the three publications (IF 5) and two Indian patent. Similarly, I want to explore some other serine enzyme potential towards amyloid degradation.

I have expertise in handling the instruments like Spectrofluorometer (for ThT assay), FT-IR (for amide I), Dynamic Light Scattering (for size distribution), Circular Dichroism (for secondary structure determination), in vivo imaging system (for live imaging of amyloid using ThT), AFM (for visualization of fibrils), Handling and maintenance of neuronal cell-like PC12 (for MTT) and many other techniques relevant to amyloid research.
