• Making presentations to negotiate necessary changes with other Performance Test Departments, Design Functions, and Program Management teams focusing cost reduction
• Test planning to provide direction to insure that technician team has clear information & resources to complete testing on time.
• Creating test reports to document key development work output and next actions.
• Supporting quality investigations and countermeasure development

• Responsible for CS11 project Upper Body from Concept phase to ready product for NVH and Solidity, resolving issues with other attributes like, safety, agronomics, economy, weight, and fuel consumption etc.
• Achieving a correctly balanced NVH performance, for final product that corresponds to the market and technical specifications, and targets
• Communicating defined requirements by breaking them down to measurable values as technical input to Design and CAE Engineering departments
• Supporting development of specifications, concept selections and supplier evaluations
• Taking active part and initiative in finding solutions regarding NVH with other attributes
• Tracking target fulfillment throughout the development process of CAE
• Leading work from status setting and root cause identification to solution proposal and design modification solving NVH issue without influencing other attributes

Main tasks:

• To perform/report/liaise with customer/ Noise and Vibration Harshness tests
• Vehicle Benchmarking on Dynamometer in Semi Anechoic chamber (SAC)
• NVH Powertrain Benchmarking for a well reputed Chinese OEM in SAC
• NVH measurement vehicle running on Dynamometer in SAC
• NVH Instrumentation, NTF, VTF, Point Mobility measurements
• Operational Modal analysis, ODS, durability, Strain data
• Testing, analyzing, reporting for CAE Correlation and analysis

(Testing on test tracks and roller test benches)

Tools: HGL Analyzer, HGL Data view/Dynamics, ME Scope, Excel based tools etc

Main tasks:

• Scheduling/ planning/proposing vibration tests and managing a team of 4-8 test engineers
• Managing/budgeting vibration & fatigue tests for aero engines & engine blades
• Correlating test results with FE models, analyzing and presenting results and reports
• Correlating or checking FE models together with stress engineers to provide data to test houses and give target lines to test engineers for blades and vanes.
• Supervising tests and test plans and reporting to in house or external customer
• Collecting raw data, processing and getting final results in Excel made tools
• Data processing and analyzing FRFs/FFT of aero-engines and vibration fatigue HCF on high pressure compressor blades and vane
• Analyzing Aero Engine test data using HGL, checking if vibration occurs then suggesting reducing excitation source, adding mechanical damping or changing blade’s dynamic behavior if possible,. (simply looking to reduce Excitation frequency/changing Rotor Speed so to not match with natural frequency of the system)

Tools: Artemis Head Analyser, Head Recorder, ME-Scope, SQ-Lab, Data-Rec, SQuadriga B&K Sensors, CANoe, CANape etc.

• Testing, analysis and solving NVH issues of the Electric Power Steering (EPS)
• Preparing, planning and performing the vibration tests for the EPS
• Data processing, analyzing, correlating with FE models and reporting
• On requests from customer’s end designing /amending the test rigs
• Performing tests like rattling, running mode analysis, order levels, octave bands and FFT analysis to improve NVH performances for gears manufactured for OEMs
• Testing the EPS system on test rigs and on track driving the vehicle
• Instrumenting and training of new colleague engineering
• Looking after customers like BMW and Daimler for their NVH needs and satisfaction
• Arranging conference calls and presenting collected data and proposing amendments
• Helped design team for changes in gear or motor or motor to gear belt types/couplings for acoustic performance e.g. removing acoustic boom in BMW car induced by EPS at high frequency, helped design team to design and manufacture test rig to test electric motor and EPS as a whole (NVH function) by providing test data measured and collected on site of BMW test track. Used controlling and diagnostic analysis ECU’s (CAN & FlexRay) VECTOR (CANape, CANoe)

Visiting clients sites and resolving NVH issues by testing and analyzing results by (Testing on test tracks and roller test benches)

• Coordinating CAE department and test department
• Preparing/meshing FE Models of components in hyper-mesh to run in Nastran
• Ensuring the proper engine and components for FE model of quality for Force response/ Modal analysis regarding NVH issues
• Performing correlation work regarding tests done in NVH Lab and CAE results
• Key Role as Analytical person with background from Test role & CAE
• Correlating, analyzing and solving problems for both teams
• Preparing and Presenting reports to technology development manager

• Vehicle Benchmarking and Tests done like NTF (Noise Transfer Function), VTF (Vibration Transfer Function), and TPA (Transfer path analysis) (Testing on test tracks and roller test benches)

• Modal tests for CAE Correlation on component /System level, Modal tests for light weight parts (Plastic/Aluminum), Modal tests for whole powertrain find bending/torsional modes, whole car body/structure in BIW modal tests
• Helped to design test rig for suspension system and did modal test for the complex suspension system and did correlation with CAE team Jaguar.
• Powertrain modal test and analysis, used Faro Arm (to measure power train geometry and LMS Test. Lab)
• Project of 60 dB Vehicle benchmarking, used two vehicles Jaguar X250 & BMW7 in two Semi Anechoic Chambers (SAC) , stripped off components of both vehicle side by side and compared NVH data, provided solution for new Jaguar S-type
