From an early age at Plank Road North Elementary, his engagement with Lego robotics sparked a passion for engineering that has guided his educational and professional pursuits.

Ryan's academic journey progressed significantly at McQuaid Jesuit High School in Rochester. As a vital member of the robotics team, he contributed to designing and implementing a climbing mechanism that enabled their robot to achieve remarkable heights in competitions, earning the team an "Excellence in Engineering" award. This experience honed his technical skills and fostered a keen sense of teamwork and innovation.

At McQuaid, Ryan expanded his technical expertise by mastering CNC milling and CAD software, skills that allowed him to transform intricate digital designs into practical mechanical components. This proper application of his classroom knowledge underscored his capability to see projects through from conception to realization, preparing him for the complex challenges of civil engineering.

Ryan's commitment to community service was equally evident during high school.
