Summary

For more than 15 years, Rafael Amaral has dedicated his career to the renewable energy sector, supporting the deployment of utility-scale power systems across multiple continents. With a degree in electrical engineering, he quickly learned that in this industry, trust is earned through consistent, real-world performance. His work has focused on keeping turbines running, grids stable, and teams delivering projects safely and on schedule.

Rafael currently serves as Executive Vice President at a renewable energy company, with full P&L responsibility for approximately $220 million in revenue. His oversight includes field services, projects, repowering, and asset management across wind, solar, and battery storage throughout North America.

Rafael's career began in Brazil, where he graduated as valedictorian in Electrical Engineering. Early experience designing high-voltage substations and power systems helped him develop a strong understanding of how infrastructure behaves under stress. This technical foundation became critical as he moved into leadership roles involving complex renewable operations.

In 2011, Rafael Amaral of Florida joined a global energy company, starting in wind commissioning and site management. He was responsible for turbine delivery, engineering coordination, and customer interaction. Later, he led service teams in several Latin American countries, overseeing a $10 million portfolio with about 120 employees. These experiences helped him establish clear operational strategies and lead diverse teams in remote environments.

He advanced into global leadership, managing workforce strategy for around 1,600 field employees across 25 countries. He later took charge of global renewables operations valued at nearly $190 million, using lean methodologies to reduce inefficiencies, improve safety, and deliver more consistent results.

Rafael's responsibilities grew as he led operations in North America and the Americas, managing over 1,200 employees and up to $160 million in revenue. In 2024, he directed the integration of more than 10 acquired companies into a single operational platform. That same year, he was named Chief Operating Officer, leading all construction and operations in the U.S. and Canada.

Throughout his professional journey, Rafael Amaral has remained focused on disciplined execution, operational excellence, and the creation of long-term value in the renewable energy industry.
