He holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, and has completed the OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification. His work focuses on coordinating diverse teams, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring safety, quality, and compliance throughout all phases of a project.

For the past three years, he has been with Weiss Construction/Weiss Renewables in St. Louis, Missouri. As an Assistant Project Manager, he oversees RFIs, submittals, and design clarifications, participates in field visits to verify progress, and addresses site challenges as they arise. He coordinates engineering, procurement, and construction activities, calculates material quantities to support procurement planning, and monitors subcontractor invoices, change orders, and purchase orders to ensure they meet contractual requirements.

In his role as Project Engineer at the same company, Paul worked with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors on a $90 million project, ensuring clear communication and efficient problem-solving. He assisted in creating Construction Work Plans with a focus on safety, sequencing, and resource allocation, developed an Excel-based asset management and maintenance tracker, verified equipment specifications with plant engineers, and managed plant security access in compliance with site protocols.

Previously, Paul was a Project Engineer at JS Vig Construction in Plymouth, Michigan. His responsibilities included assisting with project schedules, managing procurement, and coordinating subcontractor activities. He also prepared and reviewed subcontracts, RFIs, and RFCOs, performed quantity takeoffs, and helped prepare bids for projects ranging from $500,000 to $20 million.

Earlier in his career, during a Field Engineer Internship with Motor City Electric in Dearborn, he contributed to operations at the Ford Truck Plant by designing cable tray systems, creating wire tags, reviewing technical diagrams, and collaborating with engineering teams to troubleshoot equipment.

In his senior year at Wayne State, he was part of the winning team in the Electrical Contracting Innovation Challenge, marking the university’s first victory in the competition. Outside of work, Paul Wiedmaier volunteers at Holy Family Parish in Novi, Michigan, maintains an active lifestyle, enjoys golf, traveling, and reading, and is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, holding dual citizenship in the United States and Brazil.
