Nick Dolbin

Nick built his law enforcement career through demanding roles across police operations, emergency communications, supervision, and training. He served as a 911 Operations Supervisor for Cuyahoga County, helping to oversee high-volume emergency calls, AMBER Alerts, media alerts, cell phone pings, and mass-casualty coordination. He also served the Timberlake Police Department as a sergeant, TAC Officer, command staff member, Taser Instructor, Field Training Officer, and firearms instructor.

Nick began in law enforcement with the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority and later served agencies in East Cleveland, Geneva on the Lake, Amsterdam, MetroHealth, and Timberlake. His work included patrol, investigations, administration, training programs, recruitment, grants, equipment, radios, dispatch, policies, and in-service instruction. At Geneva on the Lake, he was credited with a major meth seizure during a traffic stop, showing alertness and field judgment.

Nick has earned numerous awards and certifications that reflect his broad public safety abilities. He was recognized as Rookie of the Year in East Cleveland, Top Drug Buster, Top Traffic Enforcement, Top OVI Cuyahoga County by MADD, and Top Seat Belt Cuyahoga County. His certifications include Crisis Intervention Training, Public Safety Telecommunicator, Emergency Medical Dispatch, Communications Training Officer, and Field Training Officer.

Nick also brings practical experience in business and education to his leadership. Before policing, he worked in insurance operations, managed statewide claims functions, and led workers’ compensation operations connected to managed care. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Cleveland State University, studied at police academies in Ohio and Florida, and later completed Executive Management Leadership coursework at Ashland University.

Nick extends his service beyond official duty through community work, youth programs, and gun safety outreach. He has supported efforts to promote safe firearm storage and public education, including work connected to MetroHealth safety initiatives. He is also a licensed real estate agent and owner of Premier Field Services in Columbia Station, Ohio. Away from work, he enjoys home projects, exercise, family vacations, and staying fit for the job.
