Summary
People work for people. As a result the impact leaders have on their people is monumental. Understanding how to influence profoundly in order to drive performance is a must and fulfilling this has fascinated/guided/propelled me throughout my eight years plus of experience in leadership roles. I approach every strategy with purpose: lead, motivate, and inspire people first, results will follow.
Of course this does mean staying at least one or two steps ahead on the tech, business model innovation, education, and client-engagement that drives progress. Being a leader is my job and I thrive on the inventiveness and attentiveness needed every day to energize my team and build client relationships. My focus isn't only impacting results in-the-moment, but in developing teams with competencies and mindsets where the lessons will last a lifetime.
These proficiencies apply across sectors whether it be Software, Finance, or IT, although Retail is my current arena. The behaviors needed to drive this cross-sector success are not always technical skills, but competencies like Commercial Acumen, Critical Thinking, Strategic Planning, Solution Orientation to name a few, as well as just plain old passion and determination. This is how I aspire to contribute to both my current and future roles.
Outside of my arena, I am a Brit living in Southern California, walking my dog every day, being a fitness enthusiast, while quietly being your average gaming & tech nerd while occasionally submitting myself to the common binge watch.
