Responsible for the review of commercial appraisals prepared for the bank by external appraisers to ensure the use of appropriate methodologies, assumptions, reconciliation and value reasonableness in the context of assessing the real estate collateral as part of the strategic risk management of the banks $10 billion global commercial real estate portfolio. Responsibilities include:

• Liaison between senior bank leadership, underwriters, loan staff and outside appraiser vendors in the on-going support of valuation assessments, compliance, best-practice methodology, documentation and compliance with institutional, state and federal regulations.

• Research commercial real estate transactions and data on a national basis utilizing resources such as CoStar and LoopNet.

Hired to develop, lead, manage the company's $20.9 million real estate land portfolio, and actively source real estate investment opportunities both domestically and globally in targeted markets by initiating and continually cultivating professional relationships with top growers, developers, and brokers to gain access to off-market transactions as they become available for National Pecan, a private equity platform owned by Blue Road Capital. Developed asset strategies to purchase and lease based upon valuation reporting, financial analysis and model cash flows including joint venture equity structuring. Evaluate return metrics-IRR's etc. Prepared and presented prospective real estate opportunities to the board of directors for initial and final approval.   • Responsible for collateral regulatory compliance with OCC examiners while interacting with all mortgage departments within Capital One Bank's framework in order to assure that all real estate valuation requests are in concurrence with federal regulations.
