Michael Quantrell

Michael Quantrell is a highly experienced yacht Captain with more than 20 years of experience in yacht engineering, estate management, and competitive racing. His career includes managing multimillion-dollar refits, captaining vessels exceeding 100 feet, and overseeing complex deliveries along the East Coast and beyond. Known for steady leadership and operational precision, Michael has guided vessels through demanding conditions, including safely enduring Category 4 Hurricane Irma while operating in Florida during the 2017 hurricane season.

Growing up in Camden, Maine, Michael developed an early connection to both the ocean and the mountains. Much of his youth was spent either sailing or ski racing, where he demonstrated strong competitive focus and discipline. He earned three medals at the Junior Olympics, including silver and bronze finishes in the Laser Class youth sailing division. His racing experience later expanded internationally, competing in organized programs across New Zealand, New England, and England.
