Drilling reservist for the 450th Civil Affairs Battalion. Serving as the Chief of the Functional Specialty Cell.

Selected to integrate the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) special operations command with the government of Afghanistan as well as private contractors. Coordinated with provincial government officers and Afghan Parliament in conjunction with the US Department of State and Justice to facilitate joint operations between the United States and the Afghan government.

• Met with 50 parliament officers and 20 Provincial Governors to address operational issues and build relationships to meet established goals.
• Developed a partnership and working relationship between the NATO Special Operations Component Command Afghanistan and the Ministry of Counter-narcotics in Afghanistan.
• Managed, maintained, and accounted for over $1.5 million in sensitive property items.

Responsible for the training, deployment, and readiness of the United States Army Europe Contingency Command Post consisting of 132 Soldiers, Sailors, Airman, and civilians.

• Created and developed the strategy plan to make the Contingency Command Post capable of meeting strategic goals with a specific timeline. The plan was endorsed by the US Army Europe Commanding General.
• Hand-picked to provide and supervise operational planning of two United States Army Europe exercises to address interoperability and partnerships with NATO partners and allies and sustained bilateral relationships.

Planned, coordinated, and issued orders within the Combined Joint Operations Area- Afghanistan consisting of over 25,000 troops. Orders included implementation of joint security policy, protocol, and expansion of interoperability among partner state components.

• Resolved a major logistics problem due to equipment not meeting timelines; reduced administrative procedures which increased operations by over 80%.
• Wrote over 300 orders to address engineering concerns, training requirements, and Commanders Emergency Relief Program.

Organized and implemented the United States Army, V (Fifth) Corps key battle rhythm events which synchronized both the headquarters and command group. Responsible for managing protocol, social and ceremonial events.

• Designed and implemented a Standard Operating Procedure to improve operational procedures.
• Supervised the moment of 40 NATO general officers for the Corps Mission Rehearsal Exercises.

Commanded a US Army Recruiting Company consisting of 35 Soldiers, in six stations, throughout West Virginia and Maryland. Engaged local government leaders, civic organizations, educators, students, and parents regarding the benefits of the Army.

• Maintained and accounted for $2M in government property to include 30 vehicles and a $100k annual advertising budget.
• Developed an aggressive marketing strategy which doubled the company’s annual Army Reserve senior enlistments.
• Enforced standards and discipline which resulted in zero recruiting improprieties during the 27 months in command.

Served as a Platoon Leader, Fire Direction Officer, Battalion Operations Officer & Pay Agent during two deployments to Iraq.

• Oversaw $15M of Commander’s Emergency Relief Program by over 300 reconstruction projects in two Iraqi provinces.
• Supervised the movement of over $10M of mechanized artillery equipment from Iraq to the port of Kuwait.
• Managed ammunition requests and forecasts to fully qualify four combat service support companies prior to deployment.
