Experience
Executive Director
Sociedad de Historia Natural Niparaja / La Paz, BCS México
I ensure we have an impact across our four conservation programs (land, marine, fisheries and water) and secure that we are a relevant conservation actor. Beyond programmatic results, I conducted the first strategic planning process, increased the organization’s budget and diversified donors and board members. I assembled a team of lawyers, and together, we solved critical pending issues, reducing risks and liabilities. I implemented procedures and developed internal capacities to ensure legal, financial and fiscal compliance. I represent Niparaja at the national level on different coalitions and partnerships aimed at influencing public policies and promoting transparency from public fisheries and environmental agencies.
Program Coordinator
Sociedad de Historia Natural Niparaja / La Paz, BCS, México
I was responsible for the design and implementation of an initiative aimed at improving MPA management and increasing civic engagement in these efforts.
