Medical Operations Officer

Lead operations for a medical organization consisting of 850+ personnel, organized in three distinct departments: a Headquarters group; a Combat Support Hospital; and a multifunctional group that provides logistical, veterinary, preventative medicine, dental, optometry, and other services.
Highlighted Duties:
▪ Plan and coordinate more than 25 medical missions to Iraq, Afghanistan, Romania, Bulgaria, Germany, Poland, Tanzania, Cameroon, and the Republic of Georgia. Ensure that mission teams, consisting of as many as 400 personnel, possess all the equipment, supplies, information, and support needed to succeed.
▪ Deploy classified and unclassified Microsoft SharePoint Portals to significantly improve coordination and communication between departments. Develop SharePoint Web Parts to provide customized functionality.
▪ Directly supervise staff of four senior managers and one executive.
▪ Manage the flow of information between the unit, higher headquarters, and subordinate departments. Facilitate synchronization meetings to create clear, efficient exchange of information between all aspects of the unit.
Accomplishments:
→ Selected as the corporate Knowledge Manager due to operational expertise and technical skills with Microsoft SharePoint and other information programs.
→ Managed the “reset” process for five subordinate units, during which they returned from overseas deployment and entered a downtime/training phase. Ensured that these units met 100% of equipment, supply, personnel, and other requirements at or before scheduled deadlines.
→ Chosen to serve as Senior Controller for the unit’s Command Post of the Future (CPOF), a command and control system that provides real-time visibility of personnel and equipment during operations.
