Summary

Marc A. Korenberg is a highly accomplished finance professional with a career spanning over two decades. He has built a reputation throughout his journey for his strong leadership, strategic thinking, and ability to drive operational excellence. His broad experience across finance, operations, and business development has made him a valuable asset to every organization he has participated in.

Marc’s professional foundation began after graduating from the University of Vermont in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Business. Determined to advance his expertise, he earned an MBA in Finance from Keller Graduate School of Management. His early career was marked by a position at UBS Investment Bank in New York City, where he worked in corporate finance. At UBS, he was recognized for his outstanding performance and quickly took on additional responsibilities, including working with senior management on critical business strategies and financial planning.

However, Marc’s life significantly turned following September 11, 2001. The tragedy profoundly impacted him, leading him to reevaluate his career and enlist in the United States Army. He completed Infantry school and later attended Airborne Paratrooper jump school, eventually joining the 82nd Airborne Division as a paratrooper. His military service instilled a strong sense of discipline, teamwork, and leadership that would influence his future professional endeavors. He served in the Army until 2005, gaining invaluable skills that would prove essential as he transitioned back to civilian life.

After his military service, Marc shifted gears and entered the motorcycle industry. He joined a family-owned dealership in Bear, Delaware, where he initially worked in sales. However, he quickly applied his financial expertise and transitioned into a role in the company’s finance department. His performance was exemplary, and within a short period, he was promoted to General Manager for Sales and Finance. In this role, he oversaw the dealership’s financial strategy and drove key operational decisions that led to its growth and success.

Despite his success in the motorcycle industry, Marc remained focused on returning to the finance world. He completed his MBA and relocated to California, where he joined Zeltiq Aesthetics as a Business and Financial Analyst. Over time, his responsibilities grew, and he was promoted to Director of Commercial Operations, overseeing business intelligence, marketing, customer service, and sales operations. His leadership in these areas led to further advancement, and he was later named Director of Finance and Operations. His dedication and impact were recognized when he received the CEO Award for Excellence following Zeltiq’s acquisition by Allergan in 2017.

In 2018, Marc joined Revance Therapeutics, where he played an integral role in the company’s transition from clinical to commercial operations. As Senior Vice President of Finance, he managed key financial strategies and business operations. In 2023, he was appointed Deputy to the CFO and became a driving force in managing the company’s financial functions and strategic partnerships. As Senior Vice President of Finance, he leads Revance through an upcoming merger with Crown Laboratories.

Outside of his professional career, Marc is passionate about sports and avidly supports Boston’s professional teams. He is also dedicated to giving back and supporting causes like the ASPCA and The Gratitude Network, which focuses on helping underprivileged children.

Marc Korenberg’s career is defined by his versatility, dedication, and ability to lead through challenges. Whether navigating the complexities of finance, business operations, or military service, he continues to make a meaningful impact in every role he undertakes.
