Kristi Leigh
ANCHOR/REPORTER
Summary
Kristi Leigh is an award-winning journalist-in the news business for nearly two decades. Originally from the Midwest, she's had her fair share of brutal winters and is ready for some consistent sunshine!
Kristi grew up in Maumee, just outside of Toledo, in Northwest Ohio. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Bowling Green State University and earning the Outstanding Broadcast Student award, she had the privilege of working her way up in her own hometown to main the anchor position at WTOL, the station she grew up watching.
Over the span of her career, Kristi worked at nearly every local news affiliate in her town-even dabbling in radio as a co-host and writer for "The Financial Coach Show." She has also worked for several years as a financial advisor.
When time allows, Kristi loves traveling and she has done a lot of it, starting with a summer mission trip to Greece during high school. Since then, she's been to Italy, Switzerland, France, Mexico, and New Zealand.
It's that spirit of adventure and desire for new experiences and growth that has led Kristi to find a new home in the Central Valley.
When not in the newsroom, Kristi's children, Ivie, Beckam and Liam, keep her busy. And in her limited free time, Kristi's passion for health has led to health coaching and fitness instructor certifications.
Kristi has an incredible God-daughter with Down-Syndrome and has a huge heart for working with those with special needs, so she's hoping to find a fit in the Fresno area to surround herself with these joy-filled people.
