Ken Termini Basketball
Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Professional
Summary
Ken Termini has enjoyed distinguished careers in the pharmaceutical industry and high school basketball coaching. He now dedicates his time to helping college student leaders leverage their experiences for success in job interviews.
Ken graduated from Penn State University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. He began his professional career at Revlon, but his time at Forest Pharmaceuticals defined much of it. Over the next 27 years, Ken moved through various sales and management roles, navigating the complexities of the pharmaceutical industry and gaining a broad understanding of healthcare.
His work at Forest Pharmaceuticals quickly earned him recognition. He won multiple company awards, including Rookie of the Year, Representative of the Year, and Sales Manager of the Year. These early successes led to greater responsibilities. 2002, Ken transitioned to the corporate office, leading the State Government Affairs Department. He further expanded his role in 2005, when he was appointed to create and manage the Federal Public Policy & Government Affairs department, playing a key role during the implementation of the Affordable Care Act. Ken’s final position at Forest Laboratories (now Allergan) was as an Anti-Infective Hospital Specialist, focusing on infectious diseases and hospital-based IV antibiotics.
Having set a goal to retire by age 50, Ken reached that milestone through careful financial planning and dedication. A piece of advice he received at age 19—to divide life into three parts: learning, working to provide for the family, and enjoying the results—became a guiding principle. With the support of financial advisors, he followed this advice and successfully built a life plan that allowed him to retire early.
Now retired, Ken focuses on helping others achieve their goals. He works with college student leaders, advising them on translating their academic and extracurricular experiences into meaningful skills for the job market. Ken continues to make an impact by sharing his insights confidently and helping others navigate the transition from education to career.
