Summary

I am an energetic, outgoing,and hardworking person. I like a challenge and live by a YES philosophy. I care deeply about issues that affect women and children adversely. My goal is find fulfilling work using my talents, experiences, outgoing personality to work for an organization that needs help bringing people together to solve the problems, create awareness, build community and connections, promote education and education. I am a can-do person!

As a grassroots organizer, I am committed to networking and connecting with individuals and groups to build a powerful force of focused activism and participation in democracy to reclaim, promote, and protect progressive democratic values of human rights, women’s rights, equality, economic and social justice, and environmental stewardship.

I am the President of BADASS Strategies, LLC and co-founder of an innovative grassroots organization called Network NoVA to educate, engage, and to connect with other like minded women and men who wanted to take action to protect democracy. I am a motivated, can-do person with excellent communication skills and can multi-task effectively.

  • Created an innovative tactical political event called the Women's Summit to educate, engage and to connect with other like minded women who want to take action to protect democracy.
  • Introduce new strategies and concepts utilizing a female paradigm of leadership to win back electoral power using tools and tactics e.g., postcard parties, meet-ups, house parties.
  • Develop and direct the programming for Women’s Summit for Political Engagement in 2017, 2018 and 2019 resulting in over 800 registered attendees,120 candidates/elected participating, 45 breakouts,150 speakers, and 45 tables in the advocacy fair.
  • Manage volunteers to assist in the implementation of the Women's Summit and other actions as needed.
  • Develop innovative models of civic engagement, strategies, tools and tactics to empower activists to be agents of civic and political change.
  • Advocate for progressive policies that are geared to achieving equality, justice, health care, immigration rights, clean energy, and address gun violence.
  • Procure and negotiate sponsorships and partnerships, e.g., Feminist Majority, WinVA, Campaign for Family Friendly Economy VA, various PACS, individuals and elected.
  • Organize campaigns to take action, e.g., marches, political forums, fundraisers, advocacy workshops, postcard parties, contacting members of Congress.
  • Collaborate with other organizations to form committees to research and create new strategies to get out the vote; communicate between the grassroots groups; to grow the democrat base; and to support candidates and campaigns.
