Juan Monteverde

As the founding partner of Monteverde & Associates PC, located in the Empire State Building, Juan leads a team of talented attorneys dedicated to protecting shareholders from corporate fraud and misconduct. His clients primarily include shareholders who have suffered financial losses due to corporate fraud or undervalued mergers. The firm handles cases at all levels, from trial courts to the U.S. Supreme Court, ensuring corporations are held accountable for their actions. Before founding his firm, Monteverde was a partner and chair of the Mergers and Acquisition Litigation Department at Faruqi & Faruqi LLP from 2010 to 2016. Faruqi & Faruqi, a firm specializing in class action litigation for investors and consumers, significantly influenced his legal practice. He also worked at Levi & Korsinsky, representing clients in securities fraud, consumer fraud, and other complex cases. Monteverde began his legal career at Smith Mazure Director Wilkins Young & Yagerman, focusing on civil litigation, including construction law, civil rights, and product liability.

Monteverde graduated with distinction from St. Thomas University School of Law in 2005, earning his Juris Doctor degree. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and Finance from California State University, Northridge. In addition to his legal work, Monteverde is a frequent writer on executive compensation and often speaks at conferences hosted by the American Bar Association and other legal organizations.

Juan is also dedicated to philanthropy, supporting causes such as Planned Parenthood, the ASPCA, and food pantries in New York City. He is admitted to practice law in New York and several federal districts, where he has secured significant settlements for shareholders.

Juan Monteverde was born in Barcelona, Spain, and resides in New York City with his wife and two children. In his spare time, he enjoys boating and spending quality time with his family.
