Summary

I have four (4) years experience including, but not limited to, full life cycle recruiting, benefits & leave administration, hiring/terminations, training and retaining the best employees in my past job profiles, and 401k administration. Further, I possess a JD from Chapman University School of Law, which has provided me with a strong legal knowledge base for employee relations, labor law, employment law, administration law, and other areas that have proven to be assets. Understanding the law, I have reviewed and aided in forming policies & procedures for the company.

I am currently the Human Resources Generalist for Education Management Systems. I have utilized strategies to acquire and successfully place candidates in the best suited roles within a company. I have formed and implemented training processes for new hires and overseen multiple departmental budgets. In addition, I’ve negotiated contractual terms and conditions with unions, employees, contractors and vendors. Through listening to the needs of the company and the desires of the employees, I was able to decrease the turnover rate from 5% to 3.2% and reduce absence hours by 34% within three quarters through helping to restructure the budget, incentive program, and conduct employee surveys to determine employee satisfaction.

I focused on Alternate Dispute Resolution while attending Chapman, which helped me earn a strong reputation in employee relations, as I have an “open door” policy and always maintain an approachable demeanor. I am experienced with PeopleSoft, ADP PC/Payroll, ADP Workforce, Reportsmith and numerous other HRIS’. With the aforementioned, I am confident I can fulfill the ideals sought by the company.
