Summary
Jenna Bond is a television writer and strategy professional focused on capturing and engaging new audiences through media, especially digital content. She holds fifteen years of experience in communications, optimizing brand reach, building partnerships and identifying white space opportunities. Her goal is to lead organizations that shape the media and entertainment industry.
Jenna ran screenwriting fellowships and professional development programs for writers at the Writers Guild of America, East. She developed a partner program with FilmNation to better connect the NYC film industry and spoke a film festivals including Austin Film Festival, Urbanworld Film Festival and Nantucket Film Festival to better navigate screenwriters through the business of entertainment. She also led the Made in NY Writers Room, a paid television writers fellowship program furnished by the Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment. In addition to her experience developing talent, she was a producer for the New York WGA Awards.
In 2013, Jenna was named the global Nokia Social Media Week Event Partner for her perspective on new media. She has engaged influencers from Pharrell Williams' iamOther, VICE, Vuguru, CC Studios, @radical.media, and Fast Company, among others, in thought leader roundtables on producing content most engaging to today's online audiences.
Jenna led the launch of the Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund in 2005, where she first developed her skill for executive communications, launch and operations strategy, and team management. Later serving on the writing team for former president Bill Clinton, she was named to the NYC Young Professional Leadership Fellowship and the NYU Wagner Fellowship for Emerging Leaders in Public Service in 2008. Jenna went on to attend Columbia Business School where she earned her MBA, focusing her studies on media and entertainment. She also completed the sketch comedy writing program at Upright Citizens Brigade.
An active alumna of Wellesley College, Jenna has served on the selection committee of the Stevens Travel Fellowship and on the Wellesley Alumnae of African Descent founding committee. Jenna is a guest curator for Maysles Cinema and was vice chair of Jazz at Lincoln Center's Swing! Committee.
