Summary
My old folks are no slouches in the digital age. Without intuitive knowledge of technology in their earlier personal lives and previous work, it sometimes slips my radar how well connected they became indeed: from laptops to smartphones to robotic vacuums to digital assistants, automation has transformed their lifestyles.
However, the transition wasn’t without your weaving through the reluctances and obstacles, but with time, patience, flowcharts, video simulations, and remote access (literally, perspective), my Father no longer commuted to the bank for a balance statement or waited in a queue to pay bills. During our trip to Rome, Italy he got us diverted from our intended destination and through many cultural barriers, he found a route out of the rut along the way. He picks things up quickly because he applies that knowledge by teaching my Mother. BRAVO ZULU! I tell this story because I am passionate about finding ways to make life more approachable and manageable for people.
