Summary

Jason Nissen is a specialist in ticket brokerage and hospitality marketplaces, with a career spanning nearly three decades. In that time, he has overseen large-scale ticket sales, created hospitality packages, and organized events ranging from Broadway productions and music festivals to global sporting competitions. His work consistently demonstrates a capacity to transform complex logistics into well-organized and rewarding experiences for both audiences and clients.

Jason’s professional path has always relied on two strengths: his mathematical training and his ability to connect with people. With his background in mathematics, he can evaluate finances, logistics, and strategies with precision and accuracy. At the same time, his natural skill in communication and relationship building allows him to engage effectively with clients, colleagues, and partners. These qualities together have helped him thrive in industries that require both technical accuracy and personal connection.

This balance has enabled Jason to manage projects effectively, anticipate potential issues, and adapt quickly to changes. Whether managing a sporting event, a festival, or a concert, he has shown the ability to translate detailed requirements into outcomes that run smoothly and deliver value to all stakeholders.

Jason laid the foundation for his professional life at Hamilton College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics in 1994. While there, he also played as a wide receiver on the football team and served as social chair of his fraternity. These roles provided him with valuable opportunities to develop his teamwork, leadership, and communication skills, which later became essential to his career in the ticket brokerage and hospitality industries.

For more than 28 years, Jason has served as an officer at The Ultimate Fan, a company he has helped grow into a respected provider of tickets and hospitality services. He has overseen access to some of the world’s most prestigious events, including the Super Bowl, the Final Four, Wimbledon, the US Open, and the Olympics. His ability to combine logistical precision with client-focused service has allowed The Ultimate Fan to meet the needs of both individual fans and Fortune 500 corporations.

Jason also expanded his career into event creation. From 2015 to 2017, he was CEO of Minus Zero Music Festival, an Electronic Dance Music event held in Stratton, Vermont. The festival combined EDM performances with skiing and snowboarding, giving attendees a unique experience that merged music with outdoor recreation. Jason directed all aspects of the festival, including ticketing, merchandise, stage construction, and safety operations. His leadership at Minus Zero demonstrated his ability to bring creative ideas into structured, successful events.

His professional philosophy blends vision with direct involvement. Jason credits much of his success to communication, collaboration, and the value of strong relationships. From securing his first clients through college connections to forming long-standing partnerships with corporate groups and sports teams, he has consistently emphasized the importance of building networks as a foundation for growth.
