Life.Markers, LLC (LM) is a forecasting and decision making tool designed for military members. LM digitizes processes and procedures developed and revised since 1989 to educate service personnel on demographic, personal and professional factors from which they will make more informed life and financial planning decisions.

JF Ventures (JFV) is a small privately owned investment management and holding company that serves as legal and organizational structure to realize business ideas and hold investments of its shareholders. JFV also provides financing and management and consulting services for startups or early stage businesses. This is one of the way it finds new investment objects.

Coaches are described by attendees as one of the most valuable features of the weekend! The one-on-one advice given to teams, can be invaluable and a key factor in their growth as a startup. Coaches themselves enjoy working with teams because it’s a chance to share their knowledge and help other aspiring entrepreneurs, and it’s not uncommon for a coach to become a mentor/advisor (or investor) of a Startup Weekend team and/or advocate of the Startup Weekend community.

Organized and led the launch of the Central Virginia sub-chapter of Virginia NORML. Developed programs for organizational growth, including social media, monthly meetings with guest speakers, etc. Engaged with legislators on legislative issues and strategies.

Logistics Management: served as Liaison. Supervised over 1,500 daily miles in support of ceremonial commitments and missions critical to successful transportation operations of U.S. Marine Corps.

Financial Reporting: Eliminated unnecessary operating expenses and updated a comprehensive PC-based program to integrate financial data from operations. Saved $100,000.00 in unnecessary expenditures for fiscal year 2009. Responsible for staying within quarterly budget and reporting any funds disclaimers to higher authorities.

Project Management Responsible for policy development, execution, and maintaining all duties pertaining to motor transportation. Credited with providing the motor pool with proactive leadership. Directed fleet management and fleet service for 55 government owned vehicles.

Served on an 18 member team as the combat-logisics advisor to the Iraqi Army’s 7th Brigade. Advised IA logistics officers on proper methods of policy making, tracking equipment, managing inventory, route analysis for convoy operations and proper briefing methods and tactics of logistical movement in a combat environment.

35 vehicle fleet management. Ensured vehicles passed all weekly safety inspections in order to maintain unit readiness level as directed. Tracked and logged mileage, fuel consumption, mileage per operator, and maintenance cost per vehicle in order to brief and inform chain of command of funds being spent in support of logistical operations

Resolve customers' service or billing complaints by performing activities such as exchanging merchandise, refunding money, and adjusting bills. Confer with customers by telephone or in person to provide information about products and services, to take or enter orders, cancel accounts, or to obtain details of complaints.Establish or identify prices of goods, services or admission, and tabulate bills using calculators, cash registers, or optical price scanners.Calculate total payments received during a time period, and reconcile this with total sales.
